Office of the Provost

REPORTING TO THE PRESIDENT and serving as her chief advisor on matters related to curriculum, faculty, attainment of academic excellence, and teaching excellence, the Provost is the Chief Academic Officer who provides leadership to the Academic Affairs unit, which includes direct supervision of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), the Dean of Online Learning and Instructional Technology (DOLIT), and the Vice President for Planning and Assessment (VPPA). In collaboration with the VPAA, the Provost works to develop and articulate a clear vision for LIM College’s academic future that is consistent with the College’s strategic direction. and oversee the development of and management of the annual operating budgets for those departments that fall within the Academic Affairs unit.

In October of 2017, President Elizabeth S. Marcuse launched a national Provost Search.A search committee was convened to work with Academic Search that will recruit, identify and recommend candidates. The community is encouraged to nominate qualified candidates.
