Saturday Fashion Lab


Take fashion to the next level! Offered in the Fall and the Spring, Saturday Fashion Lab is a Pre-College Fashion workshop giving students a better understanding of different topics within the fashion industry. Students will participate in workshops to gain an introduction to fashion, including buying & retailing, styling, fashion marketing & communications, event planning, illustration, forecasting, media and merchandising & product development!

This program is open to all high school students and recent high school graduates. Classes are held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each Saturday.

Workshop in Backstage Pass: Publicity & Events (2/16)

Have you ever wondered how the fashion industry works backstage? In this exciting workshop, an industry executive will help you will go behind the scenes to learn how the business works and what it takes to publicize a small or big fashion event.

Workshop in Fashion Styling (2/23)

Styling is an exciting and important part of the fashion business. The fashion stylist’s role in mediums such as advertising, fashion editorial, TV, and social media are examined in this dynamic workshop. Discover the process of styling, the personal and professional traits necessary, and the tools fashion stylists use to conceptualize “looks” for fashion clients in the industry today.

Workshop in Fashion Media: Making a Magazine (2/23)

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work at a fashion magazine? Discover how the magazine business is organized and operated, and learn industry terminology. Then, step into the role of editor, creating your own idea for a digital magazine based on your concept.

Workshop in Fashion PR (3/2)

The function of Public Relations in today's fashion industry encompasses many connections between consumers, current events and the newest and latest fashion styles and trends. In this dynamic workshop, an industry executive will teach you the tricks of the trade as you conceptualize promotional materials and an experiential event.

Workshop in Fashion Merchandising (3/23)

Discover the exciting process of fashion merchandising through this hands-on workshop. Gain insight into today’s fashion consumer while learning all the steps of apparel product development. Students will take on the role of the apparel merchandiser and conceptualize, then develop a mini collection through the creation of a fashion product inspirational storyboard.

Workshop in Visual Merchandising (3/23)

Are you interested in the visual side of the fashion business? In this hands-on workshop, you will learn about traditional visual merchandising techniques in the business today that blend technology and social media to create a distinct look and message  for a retail store and brand.

Registration is accepted up until the first day of each session. Register for all four workshops, or pick and choose if you can't make all four!


$75 per individual workshop

$250 package for all four workshops

Cancellation Policy

A full refund less a $25 processing fee is given up until the Monday before each Saturday course begins. No refunds thereafter. To cancel a registration, you must email the Pre-College Programs Manager. LIM College reserves the right to cancel class if enrollment is insufficient with a full refund to the student.
