As a graduate student of LIM College, you live and learn in the fashion capital of the world. Immerse yourself in the everyday reality of the fashion business, meet industry leaders, and study with fashion professionals.

LIM College accepts students from all over the world to join the Center for Graduate Studies. Graduate applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or an equivalent undergraduate degree from a foreign country.

We are now accepting Master of Professional Studies (MPS) applications for Spring 2019 and Fall 2019 as well as MS (Master of Science) applications for Fall 2019. MPS programs include Fashion Marketing, Fashion Merchandising and Retail Management, Global Fashion Supply Chain Management, our MPS degree for advanced professionals in the Business of Fashion and our MS Program includes the MS in Consumer Analytics. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as space is available in each graduate program.

Essay

New Graduate MPS Essay: Please respond to one of the following questions in a 350-500 word essay.

  1. Describe your specific career aspirations and your reason for pursuing an MPS.
  2. Describe a career related achievement or failure. How has this experience impacted your career?
  3. Discuss your commitment and passion for working in the global fashion industry.

Application

To be considered for admissions, you must submit an online application along with a $40 non-refundable application fee or approved fee waiver.  For Fall entry, applications are accepted after March 1 on a rolling basis as space permits in each degree program.

Letters of Recommendation

Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation from academic or work-related references. The letters of recommendation should demonstrate insight into your teamwork, leadership, communication, intellectual and interpersonal skills and abilities as well as your level of maturity, strengths, and weaknesses. Applicants can follow the steps in the online application to prompt references to submit their letters of recommendation, or the references can email their letters of recommendation to GraduateAdmissions@limcollege.edu stating in the email who the attached letter is for.

Official Test Scores

English Proficiency

International applicants whose native language is not English must submit TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), IELTS (International English Language Testing System), or PTE (Pearson Test of English). Please refer to the below grid for required score minimums.

Transcripts

Students must submit an official transcript from the institution in which the applicant holds an undergraduate degree. We may request transcripts from all other colleges or universities attended at the undergraduate or graduate level to make an admissions decision. If an undergraduate degree was completed outside the United States, the Office of Admissions may request your transcript is evaluated by the World Education Service, AACRAO International Education Services or another evaluation agency approved by NACES.

Resume

LIM College requires applicants submit a resume or CV demonstrating chronological work experience. 

Interview

A personal interview is required for graduate applicants. Domestic applicants can interview in-person or over the phone. International applicants can interview in-person or via Skype and must send a picture of their photo ID beforehand.

*Once applicants have reached the interview step in the application process, a link will be emailed to register for an interview timeslot.

*9 credits of math type courses is required.

  • Proficiency in Excel (demonstrated b CLEP (minimum score of 50 required), test out or take the course) (equivalent to 3 credits)
  • GMAT is optional if the following criteria are met:
    • 6 credits college level math*
      • 3 credits of statistics* included in the above 6 credits
      • *If not, GMAT required with a minimum score of 550
